Last week to apply for AOT training!

happy-people(April 3, 2017) Help those interested in assisted outpatient treatment (AOT) get started with a new program or improve an existing one. Reach out to your contacts to share this opportunity.

WHAT

Come meet with staff from Treatment Advocacy Center and selected professional faculty who run successful AOT programs to learn how to plan, develop, and implement a program.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is partnering with us to help those interested in AOT get started with a new program.

WHO

The conference is for everyone with a role to play in making AOT work on the state or local level: mental health policymakers and clinicians, outpatient providers, civil commitment judges and court staff, law enforcement, and advocacy leaders interested in using AOT as a tool to keep people with severe mental illness on treatment plans, out of jails, and in their own communities.

Applicants are encouraged to attend as a team of local stakeholders. Solo applications will also be considered, space permitting.

WHERE AND WHEN

The two-day presentations will be held at three sites: Las Vega, Nevada (May 16-17), Rockville, Maryland, right outside DC (June 1-2) and Detroit, Michigan (June 28-29).

HOW

The deadline to submit your application is Friday, April 7:

1. See SAMHSA's letter to prospective applicants

2. Complete and submit the registration form.
